Murray Rise Lead

Overview:

Construction of lead in watermain from Branxton town centre to new subdivision in Lower Belford.

Scope of work:

• Clearing and earthworks
• 3km of new watermain
• Completion of five underbores through roads, culverts and creek
• Reinstatement of pavements and driveways

Highlights and challenges:

• 280m long underbore to a depth of 19m through rock under Black Creek
• Construction of watermain undertaken alongside live traffic along New England Highway
• Working alongside high pressure gas, optic fibre and directly under overhead powerlines
