Heritage Parc Estate Stages 1-3
Overview:
Including the first three stages, the project created the foundations for a community focussed subdivision featuring parks, playgrounds, sporting fields, open space and a recreation area with large landscaped ponds and lakes.
Scope of work:
- 102 ha site
- Construction of entrance structures and features
- Main road access
- Large bridge / culvert crossing
- Extensive earthworks and regrading of lots
- 1km of new roads and drainage
- Utilities installation (including water, sewer, electrical, NBN and gas)
- Retaining walls
- Concrete pathways and cycle ways
- Landscaping and sandstone feature walls
- Incorporates the former Westside Golf Course
Highlights and challenges:
- Accelerated program required specific strategies for coordination, production and safety
- Consideration of innovative construction methods to minimise weather delays to construction program
- Management of earthworks to optimise building conditions for new housing
- Various pavement designs investigated to match ground conditions. Despite early difficulties, the pavement conformed to construction specifications ensuring longevity and cost effectiveness
- Minimised construction footprint and impact on existing ponds and facilities, ensuring optimal early presentation for sales
