Boggabri Derailment Repairs

Overview:

KCE conducted repair works to the Boggabri rail embankment due to a derailment on the bridge adjacent to the project site.

Scope of work:

• Supply plant, equipment and supervision
• Survey site
• 400m embankment reconstruction

Highlights and challenges:

Due to the job being a response to a train derailment, all resources needed to be mobilised within one week of the derailment. Also, the KCE works needed to be closely integrated with the bridge repairs to ensure no delays to either works occurred
