Anambah Business Park Stage 8
Overview:
A joint development between Hunterland and the Royal Newcastle Aero Club, the Anambah Business Park is approximately 70ha. Stage 8 saw KCE construct 12 industrial lots and associated infrastructure on eight hectares of land.
Scope of work:
- 650m new roads and drainage
- Large water quality detention ponds
- 100,000m3 earthworks
- Level 1 filling to new lots
- Utilities installation (including water, sewer, electrical, NBN and gas)
Highlights and challenges:
- Extensive earthworks in low lying land and with highly reactive clays
- Completion of project during significant and prolonged wet weather
- Staged handover of a portion of the site to Joy Mining and maintaining access for their building contractor
- Management of environmental constraints including habitat replacement
- Management of interface with RNAC including works on operational airfield and runway
